Cooperative purchasing has been a resource for our members for some time, and this year we took a big step forward by launching ECPA, an alliance of eight service centers across Indiana working together to bring you even more value. With that growth comes a great opportunity to make sure you are getting the most out of what is available to you.
So where do you start? Look at the five vendors your district spends the most money with and ask some simple questions: What contract are we using? Is there an ECPA competitively sourced option available? How long have we been with this vendor without any competition? You might find some easy wins.
From there, make sure you are mentioning your ESC membership with vendors to ensure you are getting the best pricing, and reach out to your representative with upcoming purchase needs or quote comparisons. That is exactly what we are here for!

The Educational Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (ECPA) is a collaborative alliance between eight Indiana education service centers dedicated to streamlining the purchasing process for member school districts. ECPA’s purchasing team actively works to remove barriers for schools, streamlining and simplifying the procurement process while ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations. Through vetted contracts with leading vendors, ECPA enables districts to leverage collective buying power to secure high-quality goods and services at significantly reduced costs. |
