The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness |
We just finished our winter book study and learned a lot & discovered so many resources! Author, Jonathan Haidt, spoke to the four foundational harms of screens and phones, including: sleep deprivation, social deprivation, attention fragmentation, and addiction. In response, he suggests four foundational reforms:
-
No smartphones before high school
-
No social media before age 16
-
Phone-free schools
-
Far more unsupervised play & childhood independence
Read the book if you can, and check out our Anxious Generation book study resources hub! |
