Introducing the Indiana Career Collaborative & New Opportunities for Growth
Our department has been super busy with our audits this winter, including climate audits, stay interviews, and staffing interviews.
We are also excited to be starting the Indiana Career Collaborative (ICC), which is a system we are setting up in each county to build an infrastructure to support schools, intermediaries and employers through a networking system. We will pilot the program in Hamilton and Hendricks counties with interested school districts and expand from there. We are also excited to hire Stacey Monnett as our new Career Specialist to support the ICC. We are definitely looking forward to all of the new opportunities for growth this coming year to support our school districts in new ways, including the use of AI.

TIE-IN Phase 2 is off to a running start, and we have had just over 150 participants register for the spring semester. One thing we are very excited about is the Option 3: Immersive Industry Experience Partners who have decided to dedicate their time and space to invest in this valuable program. Some industries have decided to participate for a second/third time because they see the value of this opportunity for educators, and we do have some new industries who are getting involved. New this spring, participants can now join the Pacers, Endress + Hauser, IU Health, and the Center for Performing Arts to see the behind-the-scenes, and learn what skills these employers are looking for while hiring.
We have many more industries we are working with to bring on board for this semester, and are opening registration every Friday at 4 PM for new Option 3 industry opportunities. To share this increasingly valuable opportunity to your staff, please use the TIE-IN webpage, where they can get more information/register for the program.
Additionally, if you have an interest in sending a cohort from your school to attend industry events, please reach out to Ryan Murray. |
